    Door Glass Came Unglued Today

Another reason these brackets can come off is due to the fact that when you wind the window down it bottoms out on the rubber stop . If you overwind going down it puts pressure on the brackets. I cut some 15mm pvc pipe and cut it down the length . I put this on both front and rear bars so when you wind the window down the brackets hit the top of the pipe instead of centre of the window hitting the rubber stop. This also helps with the felts at the end of the door not getting hooked up all the time.

Well. I'm sure there are other ways. But I got so sick of belt squeak for both the Alternator and PS that I bought this tool. https://www.mscdirect.com/product/details/35438209 You put it on the inside of the pulleys and use a wrench to have it push out until there is enough tension on the belt. Tighten your bolts, un-tighten and remove the tool. Makes it SO easy and nice to do by yourself.

You place the pvc pipe on the vertical adjusting bars that the U shaped brackets slide up and down. By slicing down one side of the pipe you can push it over the vertical bars and it fits snug . It’s a bit of trial and error to get the pipe to the height you want.

    The Bitch is Back!

Installed a backup camera as the view out the back of these cars is less than stellar. I'm not sure where the final resting place will be for the screen, but I do know I'm not too keen on looking at the obnoxious screen when I'm not backing up. EZ PZ to install and the screen turns on when the trans is put into reverse. The camera lens is above the O of California on the license plate.

    Tips for tightening Alternator belt?

Here's a pic of the one I have. I've used the wrench method too this tool makes it simple.

    Tips for tightening Alternator belt?

+1 on using an open end or adjustable wrench on the square ear where the bolt threads on to.

Not the professional look but works for me. Find a spot where a wood wedge will fit and drive it in. I find uses for these wedge's in many situations. They won't break anything and usually don't leave any marks behind. Brian

Now you tell me. I removed all of my undercoating by rubbing it with a rag soaked in gasoline. I hereby bequeath any residual scrap wiring and Mustang schematics and catalogs to 1869stang.com and any debts to RPM. May I Rest In Peace.

    Is this dimension correct?

It looks like you need to do the Arning UCA drop while the engine is out.

    Asbestos Warning - Underbody Deadener

Just a heads up yesterday I needed to change to a finer grit wheel on my bench grinder I have a box of wheels that came from my dad after he died. The 1st one I pulled out was a brand new Norton wheel at least 35 yrs old after going thru the box I found 2 more Norton wheels. Norton is one of the companies we sued they contain a high content of asbestos. I was sure I had disposed of them in 2004 along with all the other items we found in my dad's workroom like Bondex joint compound, kiln bricks just to mention a few. Most older 35-40 yr old grinding contain asbestos. If you have any old grinding wheels get rid of them properly, I sprayed the whole box down with water inside & out then double wrapped it with garbage bags then wrapped it with duct tape. Monday or Tuesday it will be picked up by the states hazardous material division.
